Gen 26:12
Bountiful harvests were a tangible sign of God's blessing on Abraham's descendants. Both the Old and New Testaments remind us that God's blessing is crucial to the success of our endeavors. We should not expect to attain lasting accomplishments apart from God's blessing. At the same time, no task done in faithful service to God is insignificant. If we "delight in doing everything the LORD wants" (Psalms1:2), he promises to bless us richly.

Prayer and Praise
O LORD, you who bless us with your goodness, walk before us this day. Show us the way we should go, and keep our feet from going astray. Remind us to bless others as you have so bountifully blessed us. Bless our homes and our labors, and teach us to praise your name, O Lord, for you alone are worthy. Amen
