Genesis 3:21
Following their disobedient act, Adam and Eve felt shame at their nakedness and tried to hide it. Their efforts were futile, however, for God was aware of their sin. Yet he still had concern for them and gave them clothing, a foreshadowing of the divine grace that he would bestow on his people through his Son. Let us offer contrite and broken hearts for our sin and trust the Lord to cover our shame. He has promised to dress us with clothing of salvation and array us in robes of righteousness (Isaiah 61:10).


Prayer and Praise
REDEEMER GOD, your grace is beyond measure. You blot out our sin and shame and gather us into your dwelling place. How we praise you for the clothing of righteousness that covers us, though we so often forget your mercies. Lead us on the path of righteousness through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
