Gen 41:14
Although Joseph was a prisoner in Egypt for many years, he remained faithful to the Lord. God eventually vindicated his servant by freeing him from prison. The New Testament also stresses that those who are willing to suffer for God will be exalted (Matthew 23:12). Thank God for hearing the pleas of the humble and raising them up.
Prayer and Praise
O GREAT GOD who listens to the cries of the humble, your faithfulness is everlasting. You bless and exalt those who follow you in humility. Teach us to follow in the footsteps of your servant Joseph and to look to you for hope. Amen
